In general, yes. Most sellers would agree on a 'non-refundable' reservation fee to hold the equipment on sale for a reasonable length of time until inspection. Such reservation fee may be up to 10% or more (depending on the length of time to hold) and is usually non-refundable but reduced from the final purchase price should you decide to proceed with the purchase after inspection.
